Incredible Learning Experiences for Our Business Students! 🏙️

Posted: 23rd October 2024

Recently, our Year 12 and Year 13 Business students had the opportunity to gain real-world insights through engaging learning experiences:

✨ First, students visited the McArthur Glen Designer Shopping Outlet in Ashford, where they attended an insightful presentation and Q&A session with manager Peter Heritage. The students asked thoughtful questions about ownership structure, decision-making, business objectives, and competition regulations. All staff were impressed by the depth of the students’ questions! 👏 Well done to all!

🌍 Last week, our Year 13 Business and Economics students visited Bloomberg HQ for a fascinating presentation from Bloomberg’s carbon team, thanks to Miss Quaye’s connections. Students learned about trading carbon credits and the power of data analysis, followed by an eye-opening tour of the Financial District. 📈

🏦 On Monday, we were honored to welcome David Aldred from Christchurch University. With his career background in investment and commercial banking at Citibank and Deutsche Bank, he engaged our students in a thought-provoking session on Business Ethics. David stayed afterward to offer invaluable advice to those interested in the banking sector, particularly helpful for one of our students set to begin an internship with Deutsche Bank.

At Earlscliffe, our Business Academy is dedicated to connecting students with local and global businesses, allowing them to see theory in action.

A huge thank you to Mr. Farmery, Miss Quaye, and Mr. Heritage for making these incredible learning experiences possible! 🙏
