The Earlscliffe Basketball Academy was pleased to welcome Ryan Richards to a training session on November 8th.
The 6,11 foot player originates from Sittingbourne (less than an hour from Folkestone), but left for Spain at 15 years of age to push forward with his basketball career. In 2010, he was drafted by San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. He was the youngest ever player to be drafted into the NBA at only 19.
He took time away from his busy schedule to motivate our Earlscliffe players with a dedicated basketball training session. Not only did he provide a tough coaching experience that included shooting, skills, techniques and overall fitness tips, but he also shared personal experiences and answered questions from the team.
