English Language Proficiency

Earlscliffe must be satisfied that students have the required level of English language skill for their intended programme of study. If students have not already taken an IELTS (Academic) test (or equivalent), they must sit a diagnostic English test either at one of Earlscliffe, their current school or a partner counsellor’s office.

To access our programme, we believe a student should be attaining a the minimum levels of IELTS (Academic) as detailed above.

Equivalents to IELTS (Academic) that the school will accept for admission include GCSE English Language; IGCSE English (1st or 2nd Language); Cambridge Assessment English (CAE).
