💜Earlscliffe Interact Fundraising Success for World Polio Day! 🌍

Posted: 25th October 2024

Earlscliffe Interact organised a full day of events in support of Channel Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign. We embraced the purple theme to symbolise the dye applied to vaccinated children’s fingers, reminding us of the importance of ending polio worldwide.

📉 Why it matters: Without eradication, polio could cause up to 200,000 new cases each year in the next decade. While only two countries recently reported cases, no child is fully protected until every child is vaccinated.

Here’s how we came together for the cause:

💜 Students and staff wore purple throughout the day to show their solidarity

🍪 The Bake Sale was a huge hit, selling out by the end of morning break!

🌱 We were joined by Earlscliffe Interact founding president Iulia Lambrino, now president of Roteract Westminster to plant crocus bulbs

✨ School House and the Main Building glowed purple in the evening, creating a powerful visual

A special thank you to everyone who participated and showed support. We raised an impressive £350! Together, we’re one step closer to a polio-free world!
