🌿 Grimston Gardens Community Garden Party: Bringing Neighbours Together! 🌿

Posted: 3rd October 2024

Grimston Gardens Community hosted a garden party last weekend to bring together members of the local community who might not otherwise have crossed paths. Earlscliffe staff and students were delighted to be asked to take part and contribute!

With extremely fortunate weather, around 70 local residents enjoyed mingling, learning more about each other, and indulging in some delicious cakes and sandwiches courtesy of Earlscliffe’s Chef Mark, Sarah Thurston, Sarat Chick and other contributors.

Benjamin Townsend, organiser of the event, shared, “Earlscliffe staff—Jenny, Adam, and Pete—played a key role in making this event happen. It was a pleasure to have the students attend; meeting young people from all over the world and hearing their thoughts on what was a traditional British garden party was a highlight. They were polite, socially engaged, and we look forward to seeing them at future events.”

This event marks the beginning of what we hope will be an ongoing series to nurture community, connection, and a spirit of neighbourliness. A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise this incredible community event and made it all possible!
